Christmas Tree Care

One of the most frequent questions we get asked is, what do I need to do to keep my tree alive longer?

For starters, all of our trees are Premium Grade Fraser Fir and of the best quality.

There are a few other things to keep in mind during the course of season to keep your tree fresh.

Fresh Water - Always check to make sure your tree stand has water. The water level should be enough to cover the base of the trunk. The first week to ten days is the crucial. In that time period your tree most likely will be drinking the most water and may require you to refill the stand every day. It is normal for the rate at which your tree takes water to slow down as time progresses.

Add Tree Preservative- Tree preservative is an easy way to extend your trees freshness. Simply add the solution to the water in your tree stand. This product is available for purchase.

A Fresh Cut- Leave that to us! You can be assured that directly before preparing for delivery Long Island Christmas Tree Delivery provides your tree with a fresh cut at the base of the trunk to ensure proper water intake.

Avoid Direct Heat Source- Depending on your in home heating system try to place your tree right next to a hot air vent or up against baseboard heating. The hot air will expedite the drying process of your tree.
